The cyberattack was executed by the notorious hacker collective Black Basta, a sophisticated criminal organisation that is reported to have successfully extorted over $100 million (circa £75m) in ransom payments since 2022.
Those impacted by the breach are strongly advised to stay vigilant for potential phishing attempts, identity fraud, and suspicious activity, and to report any suspected scams to the relevant authorities immediately.
